Principal's Message

Hello and welcome to Lafayette Learning Center Preschool!

We are so excited for the new school year and already on our way to a great start! My name is Deanne Guastello and I am the new Principal of LLC. Our amazing staff is ensuring each student gets the right support for a positive transition into their new classroom. We are grateful as we witness our children already adapting so well to their preschool schedule and routines. The love and passion for Early Childhood and supporting each child with all needs makes me so proud to be a part of this wonderful staff.

Lafayette Learning Center Preschool serves resident children between the ages of 3 and 5 with an experience that allows all children to grow and develop in every area of development and learning.  Throughout the day teachers plan developmentally appropriate activities that encourage students to strengthen their language, cognitive, physical and social-emotional skills. Content areas are carefully integrated into these major areas of development so students can take part in daily, rich literacy activities, hands-on math experiences, exploration in science, art, and more. At the LLC Preschool, we have seven classes that are built on an inclusive community, with a variety of activities tailored to all students with or without disabilities.  In addition, we have two specialized classes for students with disabilities who receive intensive ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) and/or specialized preschool instruction.

This year we have adopted a new curriculum called Creative Curriculum. Our teachers have been trained over the summer and will have continuous support throughout the school year. Creative curriculum uses a project based approach and we look forward to your involvement with each study. Your teacher will send home communication letters informing you about how you can get involved in classroom activities. Please check out more information about Creative Curriculum on our website.

Family involvement is Our HSA (Home School Association) is also well on their way to planning family events. These events  are typically held every month from 6:00-7:30. Children have a blast spending time with family, meeting new friends, and engaging in various activities like art and playground fun.

Back to School Night will be on September 17th from 6:00-7:00 pm. Here we will provide more information on our school beginning in our auditorium, after which each teacher will have an opportunity to display their classroom and share specific information about your child’s day.

Check out all of our events on our website in the “get involved” tab.  Thank you for sharing your beautiful children with us and we look forward to seeing you more throughout the year.
